The Original IQ Test
Congratulations, Mark!
<br />
Your IQ score is 135
This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode’s <a href="http://www.emode.com/tests/uiq/" title="Tickle by Emode: IQ and Personality Tests - The Original IQ Test - page 1">Ultimate IQ test</a>.
During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on each of those questions which reveals how your brain uniquely works.
We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is <strong>Visual Mathematician</strong>.
This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace.
Food Log
Breakfast was a glass of juice and a bowl of oatmeal.
<ins datetime="2003-11-05T13:58:00-05:00">Lunch was a bag of popcorn (<a href="http://www.orville.com/gateway?waf.action=P04ProductDetail&productID=1002&mnav=products" title="Orville Redenbacher — Gourmet Products">Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet® Popping Corn Smart Pop Mini Bags</a>). Four 1.2 ounce bags cost $3.78 from Wegmans (approximately $0.95 per bag). I do not fully understand the Nutrition Facts label. It lists 110 calories per serving of <strong>unpopped</strong> popcorn — 20 of them from fat — and only 15 calories per serving for <strong>popped</strong> popcorn — <em>none</em> (0) of them from fat. I find myself asking two questions: 1) “Who the heck eats unpopped popcorn?” and 2) “Where did the other 95 calories go?” Sure, I see it says that the bag holds one serving, but makes six cups, where one serving is one cup — which seems like a contradiction to me — but if you multiply 15 and zero by six, you do not get 110 and 20 (you get 90 and zero). What gives?</ins>
<ins datetime="2003-11-05T16:29:00-05:00">Wow. Major dietary cheating! I just had a <a href="http://www.paydaybar.com/" title="PayDayBar.com > Can't Get Enough Peanuts? Try a PayDay Candy Bar!">PayDay Bar</a> (260 calories, 130 from fat).</ins>
<ins datetime="2003-11-05T19:57:00-05:00">Dinner was mushroom stuffed butternut squash with stewed apples (winesaps and granny smiths). I think the apples were supposed to be applesauce, but Gretchen used cooking apples that held together a little too well… but good!</ins>
Safari Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts
Safari has a nice help file that I found while playing with the Debug menu. It lists all of the <a href="file:/Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Resources/Shortcuts.html" title="Safari Keyboard and Mouse Shortcuts">Safari keyboard and mouse shortcuts</a> (useful only to Mac OS X users running Safari — possibly only Safari 1.1).

Well… I am running Panther. I did an “Archive and Install.”

Food Log
Orange juice for breakfast.
<ins datetime="2003-11-04T12:58:00-05:00">Lunch was two granola bars and a nearly three mile walk. It is another beautiful sunny 79° day today with only 28% humidity. I love the quality of the light on autumn days like this one. The low angle makes it seem like late afternoon sunlight all day long — lighting everything dramatically and makeing long shadows on the walkways. Filtered through the brown, orange, and gold autumn leaves, it is as if the sun were shining through the stained glass windows of some great cathedral — showing off the majesty and the natural beauty of this campus.</ins>

Webmaster’s Log/Editorial Calendar
I am thinking about adding some new content. One thing would be a site search capability using Perl along the lines of the recently added Comments capability. In addition, I would like to add some XHTML/CSS tutorials along the lines of explaining how the items on my site work. Here are some early ideas:
- What is the basic structure of the page? (three column with header and footer)
- How does the top banner work?
- How is today’s date displayed?
- How does the Journal work?
- How are the menu buttons on the left done?
- How are the stock charts displayed?
- How are the tool tips displayed?
- How do the comments on the journal work?
